On Wednesday, January 30, 2019, a Bronx jury rendered a $250,000 verdict in favor of our client, who was involved in an automobile accident. Our client, the plaintiff, had been a seat belted front seat passenger in a sideswipe collision between two cars. The Defendant was the driver of the vehicle in which Plaintiff was traveling. The Defendant vigorously defended the claim, arguing that Defendant’s conduct was not negligent and that the accident was entirely the fault of the driver of the other car, who did not answer the complaint. Defendant also argued that Plaintiff’s injuries were not significant enough to warrant monetary compensation.
The Plaintiff, represented by Ted Pryor at trial, was able to establish that Defendant did in fact operate her vehicle negligently. Plaintiff also established that she had sustained serious injuries to her neck, back, and right hand, including a fracture to the base of her thumb, as a result of the accident.
This was Will Forero’s first trial experience with the Law Offices of Edmond J. Pryor. Will who is scheduled to be sworn in as an attorney on February 6, 2019, was permitted by the Judge and Defendant’s Counsel to second seat Ted at Plaintiff’s counsel table. Will gained valuable trial experience that he looks to build upon after he is admitted to practice law on February 6th.
